Job summary

TELUS Digital is seeking a dedicated Sanctions Analyst to review high-volume alerts from transaction monitoring systems and ensure compliance. You will quickly assess alerts, clear false positives, and escalate potential matches for senior review, protecting the business and the financial system.

The role requires accuracy, the ability to work in a high-risk environment, and familiarity with OFAC, EU/UN sanctions, PEPs, and related lists.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented professional with experience in high-volume sanctions alerts.
• Ability to assess alerts quickly and make compliant decisions.
• Knowledge of ACH and international wires/SWIFT.
• Experience with OFAC, EU/UN sanctions, PEP, Adverse Media lists.

Responsibilities

• Triage high-volume sanction/transaction monitoring alerts to clear false positives and elevate potential true matches for senior review.
• Review and close alerts efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Use SOPs and decision trees; elevate edge cases or potential true matches as appropriate.
• Keep auditable notes for all decisions in line with job aid and QC expectations.
