Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Global Sanctions Lead in Dublin to own and evolve our sanctions program across geographies. You will lead regional teams, shape the transformation roadmap, and partner with Engineering and Product to modernize sanctions workflows with scalable automation.

The role requires deep sanctions expertise, senior leadership experience, and a track record of regulatory collaboration. Stripe offers competitive compensation and opportunities to influence global financial crime controls.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of sanctions compliance or financial crimes with senior leadership.
• Deep expertise in OFAC, EU, HMT, UN regimes and screening methodologies.
• Proven track record of improving sanctions program operations.
• Experience evaluating or transitioning sanctions tooling, including vendor platforms.
• Ability to partner with Engineering and Product on tooling design and automation.
• Effective communicator with regulators, leadership, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop sanctions managers and analysts across regions.
• Own the strategic direction of Stripe’s global sanctions program and screening logic.
• Drive the sanctions transformation roadmap toward automation and smarter detection.
• Partner with Engineering and Product on tooling inputs and screening logic.
• Ensure audit trails and explainability in all changes; prepare for regulatory exams.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for complex casework.
• Keep abreast of evolving sanctions regulations and translate changes into requirements.
• Report program health and performance to senior leadership.
