Sales Representative - Builders Merchant (South Mayo to North Tipperary)

Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in the construction or hardware industry? We are partnering with a leading, long-established Irish wholesale business specialising in building materials, and they are looking for a dedicated Sales Representative to drive growth across the South Mayo to North Tipperary region.

The Role

As our Sales Representative, you will be the primary face of the company in your territory, responsible for nurturing existing accounts and aggressively pursuing new business opportunities within the builders merchant and construction sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Planning & Strategy: Develop and execute strategic regional plans to hit revenue targets and identify emerging market opportunities.
• Business Development: Prospect and secure new accounts while deepening relationships with key decision-makers and influencers.
• Customer Engagement: Provide top-tier support through regular check-ins, product demonstrations, and structured account reviews.
• Market Insight & Collaboration: Keep a pulse on competitor activities and partner closely with internal marketing, sales support, and product development teams.
• Commercial Management: Handle pricing strategies, customer negotiations, and promotional campaigns while balancing competitiveness with profitability.
• Performance Tracking: Use sales metrics and revenue data to optimise performance across diverse customer segments and product lines.
