Barden is delighted to be supporting our Irish Engineering client, in their search for an Aftermarket Sales Executive for their facility in Cork.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
This is a customer-facing commercial role with responsibility for growing aftermarket revenue across a global customer base. You will play a key role in developing existing accounts, identifying new opportunities and expanding customer spend across spare parts, service contracts, preventative maintenance, upgrades, retrofits and onsite services.
The role offers significant international exposure, with approximately 50% or more of your time spent travelling to customer sites, trade shows, industry events and business meetings across Ireland, Europe and, to a lesser extent, the US.
What You will Do:
- Act as the primary point of contact for aftermarket customers, managing enquiries and quotations from initial request through to order closure.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and securing new aftermarket business opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to grow revenue across spare parts, service contracts, preventative maintenance programmes, equipment upgrades, retrofits and onsite services.
- Prepare accurate costings and quotations in collaboration with internal teams, ensuring timely responses to customer requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and sales opportunities to maximise conversion rates and revenue growth.
- Develop account growth plans to increase customer spend and expand the range of services provided.
- Build relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers to support long-term retention and account development.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions and industry events.
- Maintain accurate customer, pipeline and opportunity information within the CRM system, while supporting sales forecasting and account reviews.
- Gather market intelligence, customer feedback and competitive insights to support wider commercial and service development.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in aftermarket sales, technical sales, account management, business development or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, engineering, automation or related industrial sectors would be advantageous.
- Proven track record of developing customer relationships, identifying commercial opportunities and growing revenue across existing and new accounts.
- Strong commercial awareness with a customer-focused and results-driven approach.
- Experience preparing quotations, completing costings and managing sales opportunities through to closure.
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing multiple priorities independently.
- Confident and professional in a customer-facing environment, with the ability to build relationships at multiple levels.
- Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.
