Pelco Group in Clonkeen is seeking a customer-focused retail assistant for Centra Clonkeen. You will help deliver first-class service, support store operations, and ensure excellent presentation of products and displays.

Key duties include handling customer queries, assisting in stock management, and supporting a positive, fast-paced team environment. Weekend flexibility and strong communication are essential for success. You will also contribute to store profitability and growth.

Job description

Our business is growing - are you passionate about retail and people? If so, we've just the position for you in our Centra store, Clonkeen.

Role purpose:

To assist in all aspects of the retail store including the sales, fresh food department, profitability, waste and quality of all products, displays and customer service. Work collaboratively with the site management and colleagues to help drive the store. This would suit someone who has experience in delivering a first class customer experience and has a natural flair for working with a team while also enjoying using their own initiative.

Customer Service:

• Ensure that customer satisfaction is the number one priority and consistently deliver and exceptional service by displaying I-CARE service excellence behaviours.
• Professionally handle all customer queries and complaints in line with company policy, in a timely manner and escape where appropriate.

Operations & Standards:

• Ensure and take responsibility for the efficient day-to-day running of all aspects of the site.
• Ensure that the site reflects company's standards of merchandising, presentation and Customer Care.
• Deliver new concepts as created.
• Bring innovation to promotions and displays.

Stock Management:

• Ordering of stock from approved suppliers and in adherence to agreed product specification.
• Strictly follow stock rotation and control, traceability, correct storage and handling of each product.
• Record wastage and address daily and weekly.
• Ensure there is sufficient product for sale, yet keeping wastage levels to a minimum at all times.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum 1 years' experience in a busy customer service environment.
