Job summary

Senneca in Dublin, Ireland, is seeking an experienced Sales Application Engineer to lead the design and execution of client projects with the sales team, applying strong drafting and engineering fundamentals.

The role provides back-end support with technical drawings, reviews, and customer meetings, collaborating with Sales, Product Managers and customers to ensure accurate designs and successful implementations. Travel to customer sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in drafting/design/engineering or equivalent.
• Solidworks or AutoCAD and MS Office experience.
• Strong time management and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and installation practices preferred.
• Experience with Fishbowl is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execution of client projects with the sales team.
• Back end duties: drawings, design reviews, technical support, and client conferences.
• Collaborate with sales for process improvement and project completion.
• Improve efficiency to reduce waste and improve outcomes.
• Collaborate with Product Managers for new and existing products, including R&D and product improvement.
• Travel to customer sites to validate designs, take site measures, and support sales.

Overview

We are searching for an experienced Sales Application Engineer at our Dublin, IE facility.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the design and execution (and to some extent project management) of client projects along with members of the sales team.
• Assist the sales team with back end duties such as technical/installation drawings, acceptable design/use review, technical/design support, and client conference with sales team members.
• Collaborate with assigned members of the Sales Team for process improvement, sales support expectations and project completion.
• Work to improve efficiency to reduce waste in design to improve customer outcomes and company profitability.
• Collaborates with Product Managers for successful implementation of new and existing products, including research and development, application, and product improvement.
• Travel to customer sites to validate designs, perform site measures, and support sales team as needed.

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of drafting and design theory and practices, a working knowledge of Solidworks and/or AutoCAD, MS Office, and related business software.
• Ability to multitask, possess excellent time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate and create a cooperative work environment between peers and sales team.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and installation/construction practices is preferred.
• Experience working in “Fishbowl” tool a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's Degree in drafting/design/engineering and/or equivalent work experience in combination with certifications.
