Our client, a leading sports and events venue, is looking for a commercially driven, customer focused leader to head up its sales and hospitality operation. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the Leadership Team, you'll shape how the venue grows revenue, delights its guests and delivers memorable event days.
The Role
You'll take charge of commercial sales and hospitality across event days, hospitality packages, memberships and wider commercial opportunities. You'll lead a talented team, build lasting client relationships and find new ways to grow the business, while making sure every customer gets an outstanding experience.
What You'll Do
- Drive revenue: Build and deliver the annual sales and hospitality plan with the CEO and wider commercial team, and hit targets across hospitality, memberships, ticket packages and event-day opportunities.
- Win and grow business: Bring in new clients, grow existing accounts, and find new revenue streams, upselling and cross-selling along the way.
- Deliver a premium experience: Oversee hospitality and membership programmes, and build strong relationships with members, hospitality clients, sponsors and catering partners.
- Lead the team: Motivate and develop a team of Sales Executives, an Office Coordinator and event-day staff, setting clear goals and building a high-performing, customer-first culture.
- Work across the business: Partner with Operations, Marketing and Catering to deliver great events, while managing budgets, CRM records, forecasts and performance reporting.
What We're Looking For
- At least 4 years' management experience in sales, hospitality, events, sport, leisure or a related sector.
- A proven record of meeting and beating revenue targets.
- Strong business development and relationship management skills.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
- Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and hands-on experience with CRM systems.
- Great organisation and attention to detail.
- Energy, adaptability and flexibility to work event days, including evenings and weekends.
You’ll Thrive Here If You...
- Put the customer first and inspire your team to do the same.
- Set ambitious goals and deliver them with energy and pace.
- Look for new ideas and better ways of working, and bring people with you through change.
- Lead with a "can do" attitude that motivates and empowers others.
- Keep learning, welcome feedback and help others grow.
