Are you working in retail, trade, hardware, builders’ merchants or customer service and looking to take the next step into a proper sales career?

Our client is a well-established Irish supplier to the construction and trade sectors, and they are looking for a Sales Advisor to join their growing team in Dublin 12 with a salary of 35-40k.

This is a great opportunity for someone who already understands the trade/construction environment but wants to move into a more commercially focused role, develop their sales skills and increase their earning potential.

The Role

You’ll be working with trade customers, helping them find the right products and solutions while developing your own customer relationships and sales pipeline.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Speaking with existing and potential trade customers by phone and email
• Following up on enquiries, quotations and sales opportunities
• Building strong relationships with customers and understanding their requirements
• Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
• Supporting customers with product information and advice
• Developing new customer opportunities through outbound calling
• Processing orders and keeping customer information up to date
• Maintaining accurate CRM records
• Working towards achievable sales targets and growing your customer portfolio

Who We're Looking For

You don't need years of sales experience for this role.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have experience in environments such as:

• Hardware or DIY
• Construction supplies
• Plumbing, electrical or engineering supplies
• Trade counters
• Retail sales
• Customer service within a technical or trade environment

You could currently be working as a Sales Assistant, Trade Counter Assistant, Customer Service Advisor, Retail Sales Assistant or similar and be ready to take the next step.
