Job summary

Aldar Tissues in Rathcoole, Dublin, is seeking a Machine Operator to safely and efficiently run production machinery, ensuring quality and minimising downtime.

You will set up and adjust equipment for different products, monitor performance, complete production records, and work with Maintenance, Quality and Management to hit targets. The role requires strict adherence to health and safety procedures and PPE use. Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Knowledge of operating and monitoring industrial production machinery.
• Understanding of basic machine settings, adjustments and changeover procedures.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures and maintaining product standards.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Experience meeting production targets while maintaining quality.
• Basic understanding of routine machine cleaning, maintenance and fault reporting.
• Experience working as part of a production team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently in line with production requirements.
• Set up and adjust machinery for different products, including assisting with machine changeovers.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain consistent production and minimise downtime.
• Carry out regular quality checks to ensure products meet the required standards and specifications.
• Ensure raw materials are correctly loaded and monitor material usage to minimise waste.
• Identify and report machine faults, breakdowns, quality issues, and other production problems promptly.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance as required.
• Complete production records, quality checks, and other relevant documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised production area and follow all housekeeping standards.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe operation of machinery.
• Work effectively with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Management to maintain smooth and efficient production.
• Meet agreed production targets and carry out any other reasonable duties required by management.
