Job summary

Elk Recruitment's client in Co. Offaly is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team near Mullingar. This permanent, full-time role offers hands-on training, opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive environment.

You will monitor machines, assist with setups and clean downs, and help maintain quality by following SOPs. A willingness to learn and basic mechanical, electrical and pneumatic knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Willingness to learn and undergo training.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all machines as per procedures.
• Ensure setups and clean downs are completed promptly.
• Maintain quality by following SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify improvements in processes, equipment and documentation.
• Keep equipment and areas clean and well organized after set ups.

Your new role includes:

• Monitoring all machines as per relevant procedures
• Ensuring set ups and clean downs are completed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring quality in all aspects of work by following Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Work Instructions and maintaining compliance with all quality requirements.
• Identifying process, equipment and documentation improvements where possible and take part in improvement projects as assigned.
• Ensuring equipment and auxiliary equipment are cleaned after every set up and floors, storage areas, etc., are maintained to a high standard.

Experience you need:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
• Willingness to learn and undergo training
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components.
• Being comfortable with manual labour and heavy lifting
