Job summary

Dbsearch is seeking a hands-on Safety Advisor to support civil construction projects across Leinster, starting on a Dundalk site and extending to Leinster-based work thereafter. You will collaborate with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure delivery of projects with robust Health & Safety plans and documentation.

The role suits a proactive safety professional with 2–4 years’ experience in civil engineering or construction, a solid grasp of Irish Health & Safety

Qualifications

• 2-4 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean driving licence, can drive a manual car and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Contracts Managers and Site Teams to promote a positive, proactive safety culture.
• Ensure Health & Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other required documentation are in place and maintained.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and safety meetings, identifying risks and driving improvements.
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and project requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
• Proactively identify safety requirements based on upcoming works and project programmes.
