Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a leading Civil Engineering Contractor in the Leinster region. The role is hands-on and site-based, working closely with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure delivery on complex civil and infrastructure projects.

You will work with Contracts Managers and Site Teams to drive proactive safety practices, maintain documentation, conduct regular inspections and audits, and investigate

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience in a similar role within civil engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and construction safety requirements.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
• Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a positive, proactive safety culture with Contracts Managers and Site Teams.
• Ensure Health & Safety Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and other documentation are in place and maintained.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and safety meetings to identify risks and drive improvements.
• Monitor compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and project requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences and implement corrective actions.
• Identify safety requirements based on upcoming works and project programmes.
