Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking a Safety Advisor for Mechanical & Electrical projects in Dublin. You will roam between sites, developing safety plans, RAMS, and permits while managing site audits and training to sustain a safe working environment.

The role requires a formal safety qualification with at least 4 years post-qualification experience and the ability to liaise with main clients, contractors, sub-contractors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in safety roles.
• Experience dealing with Main Clients Representatives, Contractors, Sub contractors, and direct employees.
• Familiar with safety documentation processes and SPA’s.

Responsibilities

• Create all safety documentation with assistance from the site team (RAMS, permits, site audits).
• Manage safety training, plant certification and reporting to clients.
• Promote a safe working culture and lead on-site safety decisions.

Safety Advisor Construction - Mechanical & Electrical Projects - Dublin

A leading specialist construction contractor has an opportunity for a Safety Advisor in Blanchardstown Dublin to roam between sites of electrical and mechanical installation and maintenance. A fast paced environment this role requires an experienced Safety Advisor to look after all safety related tasks on site. The Role:

• The candidate will be responsible for creating all safety documentation with assistance from the site team in developing safety plans, RAMS, permits, site audits, managing safety training, plant certification and assisting with SPA’s.
• You will have the ability to manage and motivate the safe working of site operatives. A strong interest in dealing with issues at source onsite rather than reporting is required.
• Experience with fast paced specialist subcontracting
• The ability to anticipate issues before they arise is important and the candidate must be proactive rather than reactive in their approach.
• Experience on construction projects such as mechanical and electrical works
• Formal safety qualification or higher with at least 4 years post qualification experience and must be familiar dealing with Main Clients Representatives, Contractors, Sub contractors, and direct employees.
• Computer literate, with working knowledge of pdf markup software, PowerPoint/Word, email and web document portals.
• Good reporting skills are needed to present professional reports to clients.
• Ability to make decisions and promote a safe working culture
