Job summary

Crowe Ireland is seeking a Risk Consultant to join its Risk Consulting practice. The role involves delivering risk-based audits and internal audit assignments for government bodies, local authorities and not-for-profit organisations.

You will supervise junior staff, draft working papers and audit reports, and ensure high-quality deliverables within agreed timescales. The position is hybrid with three days in the office per week.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Certified Internal Auditor qualification or full qualification as an ACA or an ACCA member.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in Risk Consulting/Internal Audit in a professional practice environment.
• One year’s experience in Risk Consulting/Internal Audit for public-sector and not-for-profit organisations in Ireland or the UK.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to delivery of a broad range of risk-based audit assignments.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff during audit engagements.
• Obtain robust information from client systems and interview staff, analyse data and assess controls.
• Draft high-quality working papers and audit reports with practical recommendations.
• Plan workload for yourself and junior staff to meet timescales and quality standards.
• Work on multiple audit assignments concurrently, optimizing time and resources.
• Liaise with client staff to facilitate the audit process and address governance issues.
• Brief Partner/management on significant issues and performance concerns.
• Deliver audits in line with internal auditing standards and firm policies.
• Contribute to business development activities such as proposals and presentations.
