Job summary

Sky Ireland seeks a Head of Risk to establish and lead an independent risk function, designing a proportionate Risk Management Framework to meet Irish regulatory obligations and deliver strong customer outcomes. You will provide robust second-line oversight, challenge management on risk, and advise on risk profile and strategy from Dublin.

The role leads a small team, oversees outsourcing and third-party risk, and reports on risk indicators, incidents and remediation actions in a hybrid Dublin

Qualifications

• Significant senior risk management experience within an Irish regulated environment.
• Demonstrable experience embedding risk frameworks, governance, reporting and controls.
• Experience challenging products, customer journeys, outsourcing and change with focus on outcomes.
• Credible engagement with boards, execs and regulators with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and embed the Risk Management Framework with policies, governance, reporting and escalation.
• Lead oversight of material risks including credit, conduct, outsourcing and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain the Risk Appetite Framework, metrics and thresholds.
• Provide independent challenge across key decisions, products, customer journeys and changes.
• Deliver timely risk reporting and dashboards on incidents, complaints and customer outcomes.
• Oversee outsourcing, third-party risk and operational resilience, promoting risk ownership.
• Lead and develop a small team within the independent risk function.
