Job summary

European Tech Recruit are partnering with a leading semiconductor company in Cork to hire a RISC-V Microcontroller Design Verification Engineer. You will join the Microcontroller Sub-System IP team and contribute to verification of embedded processing across IoT, mobile, auto, XR, and compute domains.

The role emphasizes UVM and Formal verification, testbench creation, coverage analysis, and close collaboration with design and validation teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of ASIC design verification experience (UVM-based preferred).
Familiarity with ARM or RISC-V ISA verification.
Experience with formal verification tools (Jasper, VC_Formal) is a plus.
Understanding of processor/microcontroller subsystems and AMBA buses.

Responsibilities

Verification Methodologies: Deploy UVM and Formal Verification.
Testbench and Verification Component Development: Create testbenches and verification components (UVCs, C models, reusable environments).
Coverage Analysis: Ensure comprehensive coverage and address gaps with design teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with design, SoC, and validation teams.
System Solutions Support: Assist in integrating design into higher-level subsystems, including test planning and debugging.
