Job summary

Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort in Ireland is seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead the restaurant team across breakfast, lunch and dinner services. You will drive operational excellence, manage staff performance, and work closely with the Executive Head Chef to style menus and specials.

With 2+ years of relevant experience in a four- or five-star setting, you will oversee budgeting, cost control, and staff development while maintaining health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a Restaurant Manager.
• Experience managing multiple covers per day (including Breakfast, lunch and dinner).
• Previous experience working in a 4 or 5* Restaurant.
• Previous experience managing a large diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Manage all activities of the restaurant.
• Achieve Restaurant goals by executing marketing and sales strategies.
• Manage staff performance, carry out performance and probation reviews.
• Forecast staffing and forecasting, and manage budgets.
• Identify talent within the Restaurant team for progression.
• Motivate and influence the Restaurant team in a professional manner.
• Develop and maintain relationships with other Hotel Departments for operational excellence.
• Lead health and safety within the Department.
• Delegate tasks to Waitstaff and Supervisors.
• Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef on menus and specials.
• Communicate management directives to staff.
• Attend Management meetings when required.
• Manage staffing budgets and costs.
• Manage and control costs and stock.
• Carry out Duty manager shifts.

Role/Responsibilities

• Manage all actives of the restaurant.
• Achieve Restaurant goals by executing marketing and sales strategies
• Manage staff performance, carry out performance and probation reviews
• Manage systems in line with forecasting on a day to day basis and in advance
• Identify talent within the Restaurant team for progression
• Motivate and influence the Restaurant team in a professional manner
• Develop and maintain a relationship between other Departments within the Hotel to ensure operational excellence and smooth running
• Develop and maintain a professional relationship between other Head of Departments
• Manage and lead the health and safety of the Department
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to Waitstaff and Supervisors
• Work alongside the Executive Head Chef and other staff members to implement and style menus and specials
• Manage the communication from management to staff in the Department
• Attend Management meetings when required
• Manage and control staffing budgets
• Manage and control costs and stock
• To carry out Duty manager shifts
