Ballymascanlon Hotel & Golf Resort, managed by Windward Management, is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join the team in Ireland. The role supports the Housekeeping Manager in delivering high cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction across the property.

You will supervise housekeeping staff, coordinate daily operations, manage inventory, and help drive operational excellence while upholding health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping within the hospitality industry.
• Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning standards.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft Office and property management systems are desirable).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating daily housekeeping operations.
• Supervise room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members.
• Prepare staff schedules and allocate daily workloads.
• Monitor inventory levels of linen, guest supplies, and cleaning products.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up on repairs.
• Handle guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related complaints professionally.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff.
• Assist with budget control and cost management.
• Ensure lost property procedures are followed accurately.
• Produce daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports.

The Ballymascanlon Hotel is a four-star property set on 130 acres of beautiful parkland, this impressive Victorian House forms the heart of this Hotel. It is one of the most remarkable historical estates in Ireland dating back to 833 A.D.

About The Role

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:

• Job Purpose

  To assist the Housekeeping Manager in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the property. The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supervises housekeeping staff, coordinates daily operations, maintains inventory, and helps deliver an exceptional guest experience.
