Job summary

Autism A Chara is seeking a dedicated Support Worker for a residential service in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. The role requires flexible availability including evenings and weekends, with wake night duty shifts as part of a rota. A full, clean Irish driver’s licence is desirable for driving service vehicles.

The position offers a rewarding opportunity to support individuals with complex needs, develop skills, and progress within the organisation. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• A full QQI level 5 Health Care qualification is essential.
• Passion for providing person centred support is key.
• Awareness of Key Worker/Support Worker role and philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and routines including personal care.
• Support engagement in the community and learning new skills.
• Help the person understand their rights and make decisions.
• Be fun, engaging, patient and kind while respecting boundaries.
