Job summary

Autism A Chara is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults with complex needs in Ashford, Co. Wicklow. The role is residential with a minimum of 12 hours per week, requiring QQI Level 5 Health Care and a passion for person-centred support.

You will work shifts including evenings and weekends, drive service vehicles when required, and join a team focused on wellbeing, independence, and community participation. Benefits include pension, sick pay, and learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• A full QQI level 5 Health Care Qualification is essential.
• Passion for person-centred support and working with people with complex needs.
• Willingness to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and nights.
• Full, clean Irish driver’s licence (manual) required.
• Permission to work in Ireland essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to adults with autism in residential settings.
• Assist with daily living activities and routines.
• Support community engagement and skill development.
• Collaborate with the team to implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate notes and communicate needs.
