Job summary

Acquired Brain Injury Ireland is seeking a compassionate Residential Rehabilitation Assistant for the Wexford Service on a part-time basis (19.5 hours per week). You will support adults with acquired brain injury to achieve greater independence within a person-centred, team-based setting.

The role requires QQI Level 5 Health or Social Care or higher, a full driving licence, and strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Build respectful, trusting relationships and offer consistent support.
• Help create and guide personalised rehabilitation plans.
• Encourage independence through daily living skills, personal care, and goal-focused activities.
• Work closely with the team, attend meetings, and keep progress updated on IPlanit.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist persons served with budgeting, money management and disability benefits where applicable in line with Organisational policy.
• Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Rehabilitation Assistants to join our dynamic team in our Wexford Service, where person-centred care is at the heart of everything we do.

About The Role:

As a Residential Rehabilitation Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting adults with an acquired brain injury to live with greater independence, confidence, and autonomy. Working as part of a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you will help persons served build daily living skills, engage in meaningful activities, and work toward their personal rehabilitation goals. This role is a hands-on, varied, and deeply rewarding – every day you will contribute to creating a safe, supportive, person-centred environment where individuals are empowered to make choices and participate fully in their community.

The contract available is:

• Specified Purpose, Part-Time, 19.5 hours contract

The salary range will be 31,550 - 45,381 depending on experience. This will be pro-rated based on working 39 hours per week.
