Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a Care Worker on a fixed-term contract to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges in a high-support residential setting. You will promote person-centered care, dignity and inclusion while working within a supportive team at Brookside Lodge, Killaloe Road, Co Clare.

Applicants should have QQI Level 5 in Social Care and a full clean driver's licence, with the ability to work as part of a team to deliver respectful, person-centered

Qualifications

• Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively in a team providing person centered support.
• Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of service users at all times.
• Full Clean Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Promote and actively get involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the service user.
• Facilitate and implement a person centered service appropriate to the needs, wishes and requirements of service users.
• Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect and equality and incorporating choice

Job Purpose

To provide a personal care service to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties within a high support residential service setting, in an environment which values and respects the individual, fosters a positive behavioral support approach to supporting people with challenging behaviors and an environment that fosters community based living, personal development and social inclusion
