Job summary

Sunbeam House Services is recruiting a Care Assistant for a residential setting in Arklow, County Wicklow. You will support clients to achieve personal outcomes, promote rights and dignity, and help develop life skills across day and night shifts, including weekends.

The role involves working with adults with intellectual disability, in a supportive and collaborative team, with a focus on person-centred care and community integration.

Qualifications

• Must hold QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or equivalent.
• Experience with adults with intellectual disability desirable.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a person-centred approach aligned to clients' wishes and goals.
• Promote rights, dignity and privacy of residents.
• Teach life skills such as cooking, budgeting, cleaning and confidence building.
• Support wellbeing across health and personal care.
