Job summary

Sunbeam House Services in Kilcoole & Bray, County Wicklow, is seeking a Care Assistant to support clients in a Day Service setting. You will help clients achieve personal outcomes and develop positive roles within their community and residential service, with Monday to Friday hours.

You will apply a person-centered approach, protect rights and dignity, and help clients gain life skills such as cooking, budgeting, and personal care while promoting wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum Major QQI level 5 in healthcare or foreign equivalent.
• Must have a passion for empowering and supporting those you assist.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centered care aligned to clients' wishes and goals.
• Promote rights, dignity, privacy, and informed choices.
• Encourage clients to develop meaningful roles in their communities.
• Support overall wellbeing including health and personal care.
• Assist in teaching life skills like cooking, budgeting, cleaning, and confidence-building.
