Job summary

Delta Centre CLG is seeking a Care Assistant to provide day-to-day personal care and support for service users. You will work with management to ensure residents live safe, meaningful and inclusive lives, with the best interests of individuals always at the centre of care.

Experience in health care is essential and a FETAC Level 5 in Health Care is required. The role involves 24/7 shift patterns; drivers licence is desirable and continuous professional development is provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and motivation.
• Proven ability to interpret legislation such as National Standards for Adults with Disabilities.
• Excellent record-keeping skills are required.
• Proven ability to develop positive relationships with stakeholders.
• Flexible and adaptable in a 24/7 shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal care and support for service users.
• Ensure service users have safe, meaningful and inclusive lives in cooperation with management.
• Implement Care Plans and Person-Centred Plans.
• Use appropriate communication systems to meet needs.
• Assist individuals in achieving independence and development.
