Job summary

Delta Centre CLG is seeking a Care Assistant for Day Services in Carlow, Ireland. The role focuses on person-centred care and supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live meaningful, inclusive lives.

You will work with the team to implement care plans, promote independence and participation in community activities, and maintain compassionate, respectful interactions with service users.

Qualifications

• Minimum FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or related discipline.
• Experience in healthcare, disability or social care settings.
• Knowledge of safeguarding policies and HSE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow person-centred care plans and service user care plans.
• Support service users to participate in meaningful activities and develop skills.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Collaborate with management, families and professionals to ensure high quality support.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Support individuals with communication needs using appropriate methods.
