Qualifications

• A degree level 7 or 8 qualification in Social Care / Social Studies or equivalent field.
• Applicants must be CORU registered or have their CORU application submitted.
• Experience in the field of social care is essential.
• Proven competence in the care and support of adults with intellectual disabilities and a genuine interest in this area is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day personal care and support for residents.
• Review and implement Person-Centred Plans for each resident.
• Participate in regular reviews of care protocols and plans.
• Understand and facilitate residents’ needs by appropriate communication systems.
• Assist residents in reaching independence, communication and personal development.
• Establish trusting relationships through consistency of care.
• Adhere to Delta Centre policies, procedures and safety rules.
• Comply with HIQA standards and HSE policies.
• Encourage community involvement and document updates.
• Identify residents' future aspirations and meet support needs.

Education
