Job summary

Windmill Healthcare invites applications for Healthcare Assistants across our seven care centres in Ireland. This permanent, full-time role is based on-site in Churchtown, Co Cork, with 39 hours per week and a salary of €32,691 per annum.

You will support the nursing team to provide person-centred care, help residents maintain mobility and dignity, assist with meals and hygiene, and participate in social activities. A positive, team-oriented attitude and fluent English are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a care home setting.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Commitment to resident dignity and care.

Responsibilities

• Support the nursing staff and deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
• Get to know residents' interests and needs, providing companionship.
• Promote residents' mobility and assist to maintain/improve it.
• Assist with personal appearance and hygiene, protecting dignity.
• Assist residents to eat and drink and ensure physical comfort.
• Participate in planning and carrying out social activities.
• Maintain open communication with residents' families and staff.
• Help keep the home clean and well presented.
• Contribute to Health & Safety within the home.
• Take on other duties as directed by the Nurse in Charge.
