Job summary

CPL HealthCare invites applications for HealthCare Assistants to join our client in County Waterford. This is a full-time permanent role with day and night shifts, offering a relocation package and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Healthcare-related qualification or relative experience.
• Availability to work varied shifts including days, nights and weekends.
• Practical experience in a caring capacity.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Professional, caring and empathetic nature.
• Be comfortable working in a sometimes challenging environment.
• Experience in elderly care is desirable.
• Newly graduated HealthCare Assistants are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents, ensuring their independence is promoted and that residents’ dignity is maintained at all times. Follow care plans – personal care and mobility.
• Develop and maintain good relationships with residents and their families.
• Adhere to confidentiality policy at all times.
• Ensure resident safety at all times.
• Deliver high quality care and assistance – personal care, toileting, moving & transferring.
• Communicate changes or concerns in relation to resident needs/care.
• Adhere to Health & Safety and Infection Prevention and Control regulations.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, peaceful and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
