Arcon Recruitment is seeking a talented Research & Development Engineer to join a progressive engineering and manufacturing business in County Mayo. You will manage R&D projects from research and concept development through to evaluation, develop project plans, and maintain schedules to ensure targets are achieved.

The role requires advanced SolidWorks, Revit and BIM coordination, plus a creative, problem-solving approach.

Qualificações

• Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical design, product development or building services engineering is advantageous.
• Advanced SolidWorks skills.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM coordination.
• Experience with CAD automation software DriveWorks desirable.
• Strong project planning, reporting and organisational skills.
• Creative approach to identifying and solving engineering problems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English for business purposes.
• Legally permitted to work in Ireland or the EU.

Responsabilidades

• Manage R&D projects from research and concept development through to evaluation.

• Research emerging technologies, materials and engineering solutions.
• Prepare and present weekly project progress reports.
• Develop and continuously improve R&D processes.
• Establish and monitor departmental KPIs.

• Work closely with engineering, design and manufacturing teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve design efficiency, accuracy and product performance.
• Explore new technologies, including AI-supported engineering and design tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, technically capable engineer to manage R&D projects and contribute to the development of innovative products and engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage R&D projects from research and concept development through to evaluation
