Job summary

WGNSTAR in the semiconductor sector seeks a Repair & Maintenance Technician to perform daily maintenance in a cleanroom, fault finding, and diagnosis throughout the manufacturing process. Emphasis on safety and quality, with reporting and data logging to improve throughputs.

Candidates should have 2+ years in high-volume manufacturing, be mechanically and electrically minded, and work well in a team. The role includes compressed 4-on/3-off shifts with day and night coverage.

The Purpose of the Role

As a Repair & Maintenance Technician, you will perform daily maintenance tasks in a semiconductor cleanroom environment while supporting the Customer in key areas through fault finding and diagnosis principles throughout the manufacturing process. Your goal will be to adhere to facility standard operating procedures with a focus on safety and quality. Your success will contribute to the facilities' overall throughput while simultaneously developing your own skills in a coveted and highly technical industry.

• You are electrically and mechanically minded
• You have a minimum 2 years hands of maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• A strong team player with ability to work well within a diverse team
• Have excellent organisational, time keeping, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt to different tasks and to prioritise activities

Work Schedule

Compressed Work Week, 4 days on 3 days off, 4 days on 3 days off (7 days over a 14 day period), 12-hour shifts (day & night including weekends).

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Scheduled preventative and un-scheduled corrective maintenance of Semiconductor manufacturing equipment
• Work on electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies and systems
• Accurate reporting of root cause analysis, problem solving, data logging and corrective actions on failure mechanisms of equipment and systems
• Accurate reporting of failure mechanisms of equipment and systems whilst following detailed work-based instructions and procedures
• Maintaining cleanroom and company protocols
• Ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained
• Performing quality checks in line with process specifications
• Using MS Office and in-house computer system as required

Role Requirements

• A minimum technical qualification (NFQ Level 6 or higher)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an equipment maintenance technician performing scheduled installs, preventative maintenance, and repairs
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, power tools, electric meters in performing duties
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft office
• Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment, which will involve the wearing of a gown and relevant personal protective equipment
• 100% compliance with all safety and protocol specs and regulations

Physical Requirements

• Have strong physical stamina to have the ability to stand, stoop, walk and reach for the duration your working day
