Job summary

ESB, Ireland’s leading energy utility, seeks a Distributed Generation Site Manager for the Dublin region to lead on-site operations and maintenance across multiple renewable assets, including storage and gas-turbine generation. You will drive safety, environmental adherence and site performance within a growing distributed generation portfolio.

Based on ESB distributed generation sites in the greater Dublin area, the role offers exposure to O&M planning, asset management, and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 5 years in hands-on operation and maintenance of generating plant or related process industry.
• Technical or Engineering qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/C&I or equivalent.
• Rotating machinery knowledge and fault-finding ability.
• Strong safety and risk management focus.
• Category B driving license.
• Trained and experienced in ESB Safety Rules.
• Understanding of generation business commercial aspects.
• Experience in frontline maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Manage onsite operations of multiple sites and technologies across Dublin region.
• Ensure safety and environmental obligations; implement plant procedures and safety programs.
• Provide timely on-site response to alarms and events.
• Fault finding and corrective intervention for electrical, mechanical, and C&I issues.
• Manage service providers and contractors onsite, including inductions.
• Ensure ESB Safety Rules compliance and possible roles.
• Support lifetime O&M optimisation and asset management planning.
• Undertake or support ad hoc O&M projects.
• Manage planned and unplanned site outages.
• Support mobilisation of new assets in the region.
• Support other Site Managers as required.
