Job summary

Renewable Careers Limited, based in Dublin, invites an ambitious junior engineer to join our team. You will support engineering across our project pipeline, learning from experienced engineers while taking on real responsibility from the start.

You will contribute to design reviews, energy yield assessments, grid connection work, and data analysis, with a clear path to Chartered Engineer and a hybrid work setup in Dublin.

Qualifications

• A degree (2.1 or above) in electrical, mechanical, civil or environmental engineering, or a related field.
• A genuine interest in renewable energy and Ireland's energy transition.
• Strong analytical ability and comfort working with data and spreadsheets.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to make technical topics simple.
• Initiative and curiosity: you take ownership, ask good questions and learn quickly.
• The right to work in Ireland.
• Internships, placements or project experience in energy are an advantage but not essential. We hire for aptitude and attitude, and we invest in developing our engineers.

Responsibilities

• Supporting engineering design and technical reviews for wind, solar and BESS projects at every stage
• Preparing energy yield assessments, site evaluations and technical due diligence
• Assisting with grid connection applications and coordination with EirGrid and ESB Networks processes
• Reviewing technical submittals from EPC contractors, consultants and equipment suppliers
• Supporting construction and commissioning, with travel to project sites across Ireland
• Analysing performance data from our operating assets and recommending improvements
• Contributing to the tools, templates and standards our engineering team relies on
