Job summary

Jobgether partners with a company seeking a Python Developer in Ireland to build reliable, scalable payment processing systems and integrations using FastAPI or Django.

You will work across backend and frontend services, design secure APIs, deploy in Kubernetes, and leverage AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate development. This fully remote role requires solid Python experience and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Two years of commercial Python development experience.
• Experience with AI-powered coding tools like Claude Code or OpenAI Codex.
• Strong experience with FastAPI and/or Django for web apps and APIs.
• Asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio, async/await).
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL; MongoDB and Redis a plus.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes; familiarity with CI/CD (GitLab).
• Proficient English reading/writing (B1+).
• Collaborative, proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain backend and frontend services in Python for payments and third-party integrations.
• Design, build, and maintain REST APIs for payment processing.
• Integrate PSPs with pay-in/pay-out, status callbacks, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure secure, reliable handling of payment data and compliance.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
• Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot and optimize system reliability.
• Write clean, scalable code and automated tests.
• Participate in code reviews and release processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams and payment providers to resolve integration challenges.
