Job summary

Astreya is seeking a Network Engineer II to provide Level 2 technical support for enterprise and data-centre networks. You will diagnose incidents, troubleshoot routing, switching and firewall issues, monitor infrastructure, and coordinate with Level 3 teams and vendors.

The role is remote in Ireland, with responsibilities spanning LAN/WAN connectivity, network changes, and documentation while following security and change-management standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2–5 years of experience.
• Familiarity with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.
• Understanding of server hardware technologies relative to content delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 technical support for enterprise and data-centre network infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents and service requests.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, firewalls and network issues.
• Monitor network infrastructure and respond to alerts and events.
• Coordinate with Level 3 teams, vendors and service providers.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, configuration records and troubleshooting procedures.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers and cross-functional infrastructure teams to resolve network issues.
• Participate in network maintenance, service restoration and continuous improvement activities.
