Job summary

Workplace Options is hiring a full-time EAP Counsellor in Ireland. You will provide telephonic and videocounselling across phone, video, chat, and email, delivering compassionate, confidential support to clients worldwide.

Hybrid or remote work is available depending on location, with a salary of €35,200–€38,720 plus benefits. Responsibilities include crisis management, risk assessment, referrals, and thorough documentation, while upholding ethical standards and client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Level 4 diploma in Counselling.
• Membership of a regulatory counselling body (IACP/Other) and either full accreditation or working towards accreditation.
• Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, Systemic counselling.

Responsibilities

• Provide single session telephonic and videocounselling, in-the-moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.
• Assess clients thoroughly to ensure appropriateness for short-term counselling.
• Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk.
• Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
• Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case management system.
• Deliver comprehensive administrative support, acting as a key point of contact to assist clients and providers with service-related enquiries and issue resolution.
• Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.
