Job summary
TechHeads is recruiting a Software Architect to lead the technical direction of a cloud-native SaaS platform. Dublin-based with remote-first flexibility, the role focuses on modernising legacy systems and delivering scalable microservices with AI capabilities.
You will own the architecture lifecycle, collaborate with engineering teams, and shape the roadmap to ensure robust, secure and highly available software delivery.
Qualifications
- 8+ years' software engineering experience with architecture responsibility.
- Strong experience designing and evolving SaaS/cloud-native platforms.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices and scalable infrastructure.
- Strong cloud architecture experience, ideally AWS.
- Experience working in high-availability and security-sensitive environments.
- Applications are welcome from Principal/Staff Engineers or Technical Leads ready to step into broader architecture ownership.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the technical direction of a cloud-native platform.
- Define the technical roadmap and evolve the platform architecture.
- Work hands-on with engineering teams across a modern tech stack (Node, TypeScript, AWS).
- Modernise legacy technology and develop scalable microservices and event-driven systems.
- Introduce AI capabilities into the core product while maintaining architectural ownership.
