Job summary

TechHeads is recruiting a Software Architect to lead the technical direction of a cloud-native SaaS platform. Dublin-based with remote-first flexibility, the role focuses on modernising legacy systems and delivering scalable microservices with AI capabilities.

You will own the architecture lifecycle, collaborate with engineering teams, and shape the roadmap to ensure robust, secure and highly available software delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' software engineering experience with architecture responsibility.
• Strong experience designing and evolving SaaS/cloud-native platforms.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices and scalable infrastructure.
• Strong cloud architecture experience, ideally AWS.
• Experience working in high-availability and security-sensitive environments.
• Applications are welcome from Principal/Staff Engineers or Technical Leads ready to step into broader architecture ownership.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the technical direction of a cloud-native platform.
• Define the technical roadmap and evolve the platform architecture.

Software Architect – Large Scale SaaS Modernisation & AI Enablement

TechHeads is proud to present a new opportunity for a Software Architect with an established Irish-based SaaS organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the technical direction of a cloud-native platform while working with modern software architecture and AI technologies.

You will be involved across the full architecture lifecycle, from defining the technical roadmap and evolving the platform architecture to working hands-on with engineering teams across a modern tech stack including Node, TypeScript, AWS and more.

The role will focus on modernising legacy technology, developing scalable microservices and event-driven systems, and introducing AI capabilities into the core product. This position offers a high level of technical ownership across software, AWS, infrastructure and AI, while allowing you to remain closely involved with engineering and delivery.

This position supports remote working for candidates based in Ireland, offering flexibility while providing the opportunity to have a genuine influence on the architecture and technical direction of an established SaaS product.

Requirements:
