Job summary

Jobgether in Ireland seeks a DevOps Engineer for a partner company specializing in blockchain infrastructure. You operate validator nodes, manage multi-cloud and bare-metal deployments, and build automation to support secure, scalable networks.

You will maintain 99.99% uptime, participate in incident response, and drive improvements in monitoring, security, and deployment efficiency while collaborating with engineering teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of hands-on DevOps/SRE/infrastructure engineering experience, including 1+ year with blockchain infra.
• Practical experience operating blockchain nodes or distributed systems in production.
• Strong Linux and containerization skills; Kubernetes proficiency.
• Experience with monitoring/observability platforms (Grafana/Prometheus) or similar.
• Scripting skills in Bash and at least one language (Go/Python/Rust).
• Cloud experience (AWS/GCP) and IaC tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu).
• CI/CD and automation exposure using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Security, reliability, and performance optimization focus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain blockchain infrastructure with high uptime (target 99.99%).
• Participate in incident response and blameless post-mortems.
• Operate validator nodes across multi-cloud and bare-metal environments.
• Contribute to decentralised network goals and deployment templates for operators.
• Build and maintain open-source tooling for infrastructure management and automation.
• Improve security controls, detect vulnerabilities, and optimize resilience.
• Design, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, other tools).
• Develop telemetry and observability solutions and dashboards for health metrics.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and coordinate with internal/external partners.
• Develop dev/test/mainnet environments and address protocol bottlenecks ahead of upgrades.
• Identify automation opportunities and document infrastructure designs.
