Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a DevOps + Go Platform Engineer based in Ireland to design and evolve an internal developer platform and CI/CD ecosystem supporting multiple products and environments. You will own tooling in Go, build scalable pipelines, and collaborate across R&D, QA, SRE, and infrastructure teams to accelerate software delivery.

The role requires strong Kubernetes expertise, experience with GitLab CI/CD, and hands-on cloud/on‑premise infrastructure management, including Windows/Hyper-V.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in DevOps or Platform Engineering at senior level
• Hands-on with on‑premise infrastructure and hardware issues
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Recent production Go development experience
• Strong Kubernetes experience
• Solid GitLab CI/CD knowledge
• Linux administration and troubleshooting
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and Ansible
• Observability/monitoring with Grafana/OpenSearch/Prometheus
• Experience with Windows Server/Hyper-V and PowerShell
• Ownership mindset and independent problem solving
• Understanding of full software delivery lifecycle
• Clear, pragmatic communication and collaborative attitude

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD
• Support and improve infrastructure across on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Develop and refactor internal platform tools in Go
• Investigate environments, identify weaknesses, and implement improvements
• Optimize staging and ephemeral environments for performance and cost
• Manage infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible
• Strengthen observability with Grafana, OpenSearch, metrics, monitoring, and alerting
• Participate in operational support and troubleshooting
• Collaborate across R&D, QA, SRE, and infra teams to improve developer workflows
• Work across modern and legacy stacks including Windows Server and Hyper-V environments
