Job summary

Ashby, Inc. is hiring a Design Engineer who blends UI/UX design with frontend engineering to shape our product at scale.

You’ll design and implement components, evolve our design system, and collaborate closely with product engineers to improve usability for recruiters and candidates. You’ll work in a remote, low‑meeting, high‑ownership culture, shipping features quickly while maintaining quality and accessibility.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of continuous experience as an Engineer or Designer.
• Strong proficiency in both Design and Engineering, with a track record shipping code to hundreds of users.
• Experience designing products and shipping code to a large user base is expected.

Responsibilities

• Redesigned our mobile web app by talking with customers, wireframing flows, implementing the design system, and using that system to create a polished UI.
• Built flexible, composable components in our design system to help engineers build consistent setup wizards.
• Helped a Product Engineer improve information hierarchy and scannability for candidate assessments.
