Job summary

DoiT International is hiring a Data Engineer to own the data side of our Integrations Framework. This full-time, remote role is open to Ireland, UK, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden and Israel, with contractors in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

You will expand vendor coverage, ensure data correctness, and drive normalization across many bills, while using AI-augmented workflows and collaborating with product and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend role with production ownership of pipelines that others depend on
• Strong SQL - you can write, read and reason about the performance of non-trivial analytical queries
• Hands-on experience building and operating data pipelines with an orchestration framework. Dagster or Airflow is highly desired; equivalent experience with Prefect, dbt or a comparable tool
• Strong Python, or another language you use fluently for data work
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse or analytical store (BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redshift or similar)
• Experience integrating third-party REST APIs, including handling pagination, rate limits, partial failures, late-arriving and restated data
• A real instinct for data correctness. You reconcile totals and build assertions rather than assuming
• AI-augmented working style - you already use AI tools across your engineering workflow
• Experience developing solutions in the cloud and/or using cloud services
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
• Self-organized, goal-oriented and self-motivated; confident, thorough and tenacious

Responsibilities

• Expanding vendor coverage. Build new integrations against third-party billing and usage APIs; keep existing integrations current as vendors change APIs/pricing; drive down marginal cost of new integrations
• Working AI-augmented. Use AI daily across the full span of your work, prototype approaches, generate/review code, write tests, and produce documentation
• Data correctness and completeness. Own data quality, dedupe, gaps, race conditions, and support negotiated rates
• Normalization across vendors. Design/build models to make dozens of vendor bills comparable across units, currencies, time granularity, taxonomies and cost categories
• Pipeline ownership. Own orchestration, scheduling, and backfill mechanics for ingestion pipelines end-to-end
• Collaborating and problem-solving. Work with product, support, and engineers to understand gaps and propose work
