Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a skilled Data Platform Engineer in Ireland to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and data platform architecture. You will work with analysts, technical teams and stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable and optimised for analytics and reporting.

The role involves coding BI/Analytics developments, migrating on-prem workloads to GCP BigQuery, and applying AI-assisted development where appropriate, with emphasis on quality and collaboration across

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and Ingres relational databases and Hadoop NoSQL frameworks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience collaborating with analysts and technical teams.
• Familiarity with data delivery methodologies and hybrid/agile development models.
• Knowledge of structured data formats (XML/JSON) and RDBMS.

Responsibilities

• Code BI/Analytics developments and enhancements per design and standards.
• Provide data expertise to business users of BI and Analytics systems.
• Write SQL queries and scripts to manage data and ETL jobs.
• Assist in migration of on-prem BI and analytics workloads to GCP BigQuery.
• Collaborate with testers; ensure timelines and functionality clarity.
• Perform root cause analysis of issues and organize live incident tickets.
