Job summary

The Rehab Group is seeking a Relief Instructor to support training and development of all trainees on their programme. The role covers day‑to‑day management and ensuring adherence to the training programme specification.

It is a fixed‑term contract with 12 months duration and variable hours. The successful candidate will have a third‑level or FE qualification in Education/Training or Social Sciences, a pedagogical/training qualification, and experience in specialised training environments,

Qualifications

Third‑level or Further Education qualification in Education/Training or Social Sciences.
A relevant pedagogical/training qualification (e.g. Train the Trainer).
Experience of working in a specialised training environment.
Experience of working with young people with additional support needs including intellectual disabilities, ASD, physical and sensory needs and/or mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities

Provide systematic training according to specified curricula, maintaining records of trainees' progress.
Maintain records of all training and produce required reports.
As part of the rehabilitative team, evaluate trainees' vocational rehabilitation needs and provide feedback.
Develop curricula and rehabilitation interventions with peers and managers.
Plan for individual student community integration in line with HSE New Directions.
