Job summary

PartnerRe in Dublin is seeking a qualified professional to manage an assigned broker/cedent reinsurance facultative and treaty portfolio, verify, process, and monitor results.

The role reports to the Team Leader of Reinsurance Accounting Non-Life in Paris, requiring strong Excel skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel and solid Word/PowerPoint knowledge.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Well-organized with attention to detail and able to adapt to change.
• 3–5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting (a plus).

Responsibilities

• Identify, verify and process regular accounts, commutation accounts, cash losses, profit & loss calculations and year-end documents against treaty terms and contractual conditions.
• Cedant premium and loss reserve handling, cedant statistics analysis and Letter of Credit & Pledged Securities handling.
• Monitor and manage cash statements including confirmation letters and communicate with brokers and cedants.
• Collaborate with Claims, Payments & Collections, Underwriting Administration and other functional areas.
• Perform periodic SOX and operational controls and assure correctness of quarterly closing tasks.

Job Summary

Your mission will be to manage an assigned broker/cedent reinsurance facultative and treaty portfolio, which you will verify, process, monitor and analyse.

This role is based in our PartnerRe Dublin office and will report to the Team Leader of Reinsurance Accounting Non-Life based in Paris.

About The Role

• Identify, verify and process regular accounts, commutation accounts, cash losses, profit & loss calculations as well as year-end related documents against treaty terms and contractual conditions
• Cedant premium and loss reserve handling, cedant statistic analysis and Letter of Credit & Pledged Securities handling
• Monitoring and managing of cash statements including confirmation letters as well as active communication with brokers and cedants
• Close collaboration with the Claims Department, Payments & Collections Department, Underwriting Administration Department and other functional areas
• Performing periodic SOX and operational controls and assuring correctness of quarterly closing tasks as assigned

Work Experience And Qualifications

• Good technical and analytical skills, comfortable with data analysis, problem solving oriented and able to take decisions
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, good knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Strong communication and interaction skills
• Fluent in English (verbal and written), other languages are a plus
• Able to work on common goals both independently and as part of a team
• Well-organized, attention to detail is critical, you like change and you like to be challenged, and your openness to new ideas and your can-do attitude are part of your strengths
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in the reinsurance accounting field would be a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
