Job summary

PartnerRe in Dublin seeks a Finance Operations professional to join the worldwide centralised Global Finance Operations team. You will process invoices, validate vendor data, execute payment cycles, perform daily bank reconciliations, and support VAT reporting across multiple jurisdictions, while upholding SOX controls.

Qualifications

  • Experience in accounts payable/receivable and treasury processes.
  • Familiarity with VAT/GST and indirect taxes across jurisdictions.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial workflow platforms.
  • Proficient Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Knowledge of internal controls and SOX requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process invoices daily for PartnerRe entities within the centralised Global Finance Operations team.
  • Review vendor master data, banking details and payment information for accuracy and policy compliance.
  • Prepare, review and execute payment cycles per schedules and funding needs.
  • Conduct daily bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and entities.
  • Manage T&E expense activities including audit, reconciliation and compliance monitoring.
  • Support VAT reporting and data accuracy for transactional records.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and governance standards.
  • Assist treasury-related administration as required.

Job Description

The role holder will be part of a worldwide centralised team in Dublin servicing all PartnerRe locations across the world. The position requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders across multiple regions, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality financial operations services and support. The role holder will contribute to process improvement initiatives, maintain strong compliance and control standards, and help drive operational efficiency across the global organisation.

About The Role
  • Process invoices on a daily basis for PartnerRe entities within the centralized Global Finance Operations team, ensuring accurate coding, matching, approval routing, and application of relevant multi-jurisdictional VAT requirements.
  • Review and validate vendor master data, banking details, and payment information to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare, review, and execute payment cycles in accordance with established schedules, controls, and funding requirements.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and entities, investigating and resolving unreconciled items promptly to ensure the accuracy and completeness of cash balances.
  • Manage Travel & Entertainment (T&E) expense activities, including audit, validation, reconciliation, and compliance monitoring in line with company policies.
  • Support VAT reporting and filing requirements by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of transactional data.
  • Perform activities in compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and corporate governance standards.
  • Manage and monitor Accounts Payable mailboxes on a daily basis, ensuring timely responses to vendor and stakeholder queries and appropriate escalation where required.
  • Provide interdepartmental support to the company’s treasury operations where required and as assigned by the AP Manager with respect to cash-flow management, collateral management, and treasury related administration
Work Experiece And Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury processes.
  • Understanding of VAT/GST and indirect tax requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Required experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP) and financial workflow platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
  • Experience with expense management systems (e.g. Concur) and invoice processing tools (e.g. ServiceNow)
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliation processes, payment processing, and cash management.
  • Understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and identify discrepancies.
  • Fluency in English. A working knowledge of German and/or French would be an advantage.
  • 1 year experience after graduation
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Pursuing or holding a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
