Job summary

PartnerRe in Dublin seeks a highly motivated Technical Accounting Analyst to join the Life & Health Operations and Administration team. The role covers data lifecycle management, validation, transformation and reconciliation to support technical accounting bookings.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate data aligned with treaty requirements and reporting standards, while contributing to quarterly closings and internal controls.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in data analytics or technical accounting within the Insurance or Reinsurance industry (L&H experience a plus).
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Data Analytics or related field.
  • Strong proficiency with R, Power BI and/or SQL, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in trend analysis, reconciliation and deriving insights from data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across multiple levels of the organisation.
  • Able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Technical Accounting Analyst to join our Life & Health Operations and Administration team. The role is based in Dublin and will be reporting to the Technical Accounting Team Lead – Life & Health, EMELA. This role combines technical accounting responsibilities with data analysis, ensuring the accuracy, completeness and integrity of financial and operational data.


About The Role

In this role, you will own and manage the end-to-end data lifecycle supporting technical accounting activities - from data ingestion, validation, transformation and reconciliation through to technical accounting booking.


You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality data is available, accurate and aligned with treaty agreements and reporting requirements.


You Will Primarily Be Responsible To


  • Ensure data quality by validating that data received is complete, accurate, consistent and compliant with treaty requirements.

  • Extracting and loading data into our tools; including escalating and resolving any data issues with cedants.

  • Performing detailed analysis of cedant data and reconciling it against treaty conditions and Statement of Accounts.

  • Executing technical accounting bookings for reinsurance transactions.

  • Supporting quarterly closing activities and ensure compliance with ICFR and internal control standards.

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure required data is available, accurate and fit for purpose.

  • Monitoring client accounts and producing summary reports highlighting trends, exceptions and key issues.

  • Participating in projects or other ad hoc tasks as required.


Work Experience And Qualifications
