Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd is seeking a Registered Nurse for a leading Galway nursing home. The role focuses on delivering compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents while supporting their physical, social and mental wellbeing.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to create and update personalised care plans, supervise care assistants, administer medications safely, keep families informed and maintain infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with NMBI registration.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and monitor clinical needs.
• Create and update personalised care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support and guide care assistants and junior nurses to maintain standards.
• Administer medications safely and maintain documentation.
• Communicate with residents’ families and provide updates.
• Assist with shift supervision and staff allocation.
• Follow infection control guidelines and respond to emergencies.
