RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in healthcare recruitment and is currently recruiting a Staff Nurse – Cardiac and Acute Care Unit for a hospital in Galway, Ireland. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week) with immediate start and ongoing education opportunities.

You will deliver high-quality nursing care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning and infection control practices to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Registered General Nurse (RGN) with current NMBI registration or eligibility for General Nurse Division.
• 1–2 years post-registration nursing experience, preferably in Coronary Care or ICU.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team delivering patient-centered care.
• Strong personal and professional accountability for safe patient care.
• Flexible and adaptable with ability to rotate between day and night shifts.

Responsabilités

• Deliver high-quality nursing care and clinical treatments according to hospital policies and guidelines.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using the nursing process; maintain records.
• Contribute to discharge planning and coordinate appropriate arrangements.
• Safely administer medications, IV drugs, blood products and controlled drugs per policy.
• Monitor patients post-medication and document outcomes; report adverse events.
• Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures; report infections per protocol.
• Collaborate with Infection Control Nurse and team to maintain patient safety.
• Handle, segregate and dispose of clinical waste safely per guidelines.
