Job summary

MCORM invites applications for an experienced Project Architect to lead residential and mixed-use projects in Ireland from design through to completion. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project delivery, and ensure technical, regulatory and quality standards are met while delivering an excellent client experience.

Candidates must be an RIAI Registered Architect with at least five years post‑registration experience, strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations and BCAR, and

  • Proficient in Irish Building Regulations, BCAR and current industry standards.
  • Excellent technical design skills with advanced Revit proficiency.
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the RIAI Delivery Work Stages.
  • Deliver projects on milestones and programmes.
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors.
  • Manage project programmes, resources and deliverables.
  • Ensure technical quality, coordination and compliance across all stages.
  • Support BCAR compliance and statutory requirements.
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Support tender, procurement and handover activities.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Promote technical excellence and consistent delivery standards.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead the delivery of residential and mixed-use projects from technical design through to completion. Working closely with the Associate Directors, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project delivery and ensure projects are delivered to the highest technical, regulatory and quality standards while providing an excellent client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects through the RIAI Delivery Work Stages
  • Deliver projects in line with agreed project milestones and programmes
  • Coordinate with consultants and contractors
  • Manage project programmes, resources and deliverables
  • Ensure technical quality, coordination and compliance across all project stages
  • Support BCAR compliance and statutory requirements
  • Manage construction-stage activities, site inspections and issue resolution
  • Lead project meetings and coordinate follow-up actions
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and key stakeholders
  • Support tender, procurement and project handover activities
  • Mentor and support junior team members
  • Promote technical excellence and consistent delivery standards across the practice
Job Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • RIAI Registered Architect
  • Minimum five years’ post-registration experience, including experience delivering architectural projects in Ireland
  • Strong knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, BCAR and current industry standards
  • Excellent technical design skills with advanced proficiency in Revit
  • Proven experience managing projects through technical delivery and construction
  • Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and build positive client relationships
